Cy3 NHS ester is a reactive dye for the labeling of amino-groups in peptides, proteins, and oligonucleotides.

Cy3 NHS ester can replace NHS esters of Alexa Fluor 546, and DyLight 549.

This dye requires use of organic co-solvent (such as DMF, or DMSO) for the labeling. Water-soluble Cy3 is also available.

Appearance: dark red powder

Solubility: Good in organic solvents (DCM, chloroform, DMF, DMSO, MeCN, alcohols), poor in water

Molar weight: 590.15
